New Haven’s Amity Wine & Spirits Co. hosted guests for a pre-Valentine’s Day portfolio tasting of fine cabernets from Slocum & Sons on February 12. Slocum & Sons’ Drew Barter, Regional Manager, New Haven County, led participants through the tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon wines, which included top-rated selections from Napa, Sonoma and Washington. Guests tasted 75 Wine Co., Bonanza by Chuck Wagner, Daou Vineyards & Winery, Postmark, The Hess Collection, Quilt and Hewitt Vineyard as part of the educational session.
