Angelini Wine Offers New Sonoma Red Blend

By April 24, 2020Connecticut, Top News

Angelini Wine, Ltd., welcomed a new California red blend: Valley of the Moon Blend 1887 Sonoma County. Valley of the Moon Winery has been at the foundation of Sonoma County’s winemaking heritage for more than 150 years. The name Valley of the Moon borrows its origin from the translation of the Native American word “Sonoma.” A blend of 33% Zinfandel, 30% Sangiovese, 22% Barbera and 15% Souzão, the wine offers an intense aroma of briar and spiced black plum; flavors offer rich cherry, black mission figs, milk chocolate and fresh fruit preserves; and is balanced with the interplay of fruit and rich oak. Pairing suggestions include spaghetti Bolognese, steak tartare, pizza or aged cheeses, and cured salamis.
