Angelini Wine’s Julius Angelini, along with a few members of his team, visited Italy for both business and vacation in July. Visiting portfolio wine producers and tasting the wines, new vintages and new wines is an important part of importing Italian wines to the U.S., said Angelini. In addition to visiting the Antica Distilleria Russo in Amalfi, the team visited six wine producers from the importer’s growing portfolio of boutique Italian winemakers. Pasetti Estate and Vineyards in the region of Abruzzo; the Angelini Estate located in San Lorenzo in Campo, in the region of Marche; a visit through Tuscany and Il Borro, where Salvatore Ferragamo’s Il Borro wines are produced; Chianti and San Gimignano at the Palagetto Agriturismo; Col di Lamo in Montalcino; and Fattoria Colsanto in Umbria were among the team’s trip highlights.
