Centerbrook-based Angelini Wine welcomed its first in-person visits from two family-owned winery suppliers from Italy in May after a long hiatus of Connecticut market events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Simone Allario, Owner of Piazzo Comm. Armando of Piemonte, and Elena Coati, Owner of Corte Rugolin of Valpolicella, visited with the Angelini sales team, who accompanied them to restaurant and retail clients for tastings and education from the owners of the vineyards firsthand, giving buyers an opportunity to learn more about the wines directly. “The small, boutique, family-owned wineries are what help Angelini wine imports stand out as they pride themselves on working with wine producers that value quality over quantity, and a commitment to sustainability and organic practices. These visits enable customers to share the passion, the vision and the details that go in to producing the quality wines from each vineyard,” said Julius Angelini, Owner, Angelini Wine.
