
The Connecticut Wine Festival, part of the Connecticut Wine Trail Passport Program, returned to the Goshen Fairgrounds during the weekend of July 21-22. Approximately 3,800 visitors tasted samples from Connecticut vineyards, attended wine seminars, participated in a grape stomp and shopped local artisans during the two-day event. Participating vineyards included Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market & Winery in Guilford, Holmberg Orchards & Winery in Gales Ferry, Hopkins Vineyard in New Preston, Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington, Jones Winery in Shelton, Land of Nod Winery in East Canaan, Paradise Hills Vineyard & Winery in Wallingford, Priam Vineyards in Colchester, Sharpe Hill Vineyard in Pomfret and Sunset Meadow Vineyards in Goshen.
