
Brescome Barton hosted a bartending competition featuring Appleton Estate Rum at Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill in New Haven on April 22. Six local bartenders faced off to create tiki cocktails using Appleton Estate Rum, the oldest of all of Jamaica’s sugar-cane estates. The first-place winner was Roger Gross of Sherkaan Indian Street Food, second place went to Moises Ramirez of Ordinary and the third-place winner was Kory Loga of Bella’Gio. Andy Fuentes of Olives & Oil took home the People’s Choice prize.
