
The holidays offered a chance to help several area nonprofits, courtesy of the teams at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln and Bally’s Tiverton. Together with its employees, Bally’s Twin River Lincoln donated hundreds of gifts to the Town of Lincoln’s Adopt-A-Family program. The Bally’s Tiverton team participated in the annual Adopt-A-Family efforts along with its employees donating to the East Bay Community Action Program. Bally’s corporate employees in Providence also donated gifts to Children’s Friend, collecting wish list items and new toys for wrapping. The Lincoln Senior Center was a recipient of a $10,000 donation and the Lincoln Animal Shelter received $4,000. The 10th annual Holiday Charity Blackjack Tournament at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln donated a total of $60,000 to 36 local Rhode Island charities, which included Crossroads Rhode Island, The DaVinci Center, A Wish Come True, Adoption Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. All charities received a minimum of $1,000, with a first-prize donation won by Alan Chile with $10,000 for the Providence Performing Arts Center. To date, approximately $600,000 has been given to local charities from this annual holiday event.
