Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort donated $2,500 to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank on July 18. The funding will help supplement the food bank’s Summer Funds drive, which helps provide fresh, culturally relevant food to households in need. “We are especially proud to support the Rhode Island Community Food Bank during this time of the year,” said Kim Ward, Regional Executive Director of Public & Community Affairs, Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort. “The summer months are especially difficult for families with young children, who normally receive meals at school.” The Rhode Island Community Food Bank provides food through a network of 160 member agencies and promotes long-term solutions for the problem of hunger, helping households since 1982. One in six households in the state lack adequate food. “Many families have struggled to pay for food since the start of the pandemic, but given the recent increase in inflation, times are even tougher,” said Ward.
