
Bally’s Twin River Casino Resort in Lincoln hosted its Eighth Annual Holiday Charity Blackjack Tournament in which 36 players participated on behalf of their selected Rhode Island charity. All charities received a minimum of $1,000 with a total of $60,000 donated for the 2021 holiday season. To date, approximately $450,000 has been given to local charities from the festive holiday event since its inception. Winners of the Eighth Annual Holiday Charity Blackjack Tournament at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort: Alan Chile of PPAC, $2,500 Fifth Place Winner playing for Providence Performing Arts Center; Rep. Scott Slater, $7,500 Second Place Winner playing for Providence Rescue Mission; Bob Billington, $10,000 First Place Winner playing for Blackstone Valley Heritage & Environmental Trust Fund; Senator Mary Ellen Goodwin, $1,500 Sixth Place Winner playing for Mary House Food Pantry & Shelter; Rep. Chris Blazejewski, $3,500 Fourth Place Winner playing for RI Community Food Bank and Rep. K. Joseph Shekarchi, Speaker of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, $5,000 Third Place Winner playing for Go Fetch Rescue. Bally’s Twin River also donated $25,000 to The Tomorrow Fund, a Providence-based nonprofit organization that provides daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families.
