Best Beverage welcomes new wines to Rhode Island: Camporè Etna Bianco and Camporè Etna Rosso from Sicily. Maria Pia Madaudo, together with her sister, Cristina, purchased the estate in 2016, with the ambitious project of making outstanding wine from the historic property. The estate falls within the territory of Randazzo, the only Etnean city built in the Middle Ages, which still retains the characteristic architecture and ancient walls. From its vineyards in the Etna DOC, the Bianco, a blend of 70% Carricante and 30% Catarratto, shows bright fruit and acidity, with a backbone of minerality, while the Rosso, a combination of 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio, highlights rich chocolate and coffee notes and smooth tannins.
- Camporè Etna Bianco, 12.5% ABV, is a golden yellow wine with greenish reflections, pleasantly mineral, fragrances of white and yellow flowers, finely savory and persistent on the palate.
- Camporè Etna Rosso, 13% ABV, is a ruby red color tending to garnet, with the scent of a rich floral bouquet and notes of cocoa and coffee, and a harmonious, dry, savory palate and good tannins.
