
Guests of the University Club of Providence enjoyed unique selections of Bordeaux wines on Oct. 12. Called the Best of Bordeaux, wines served included Cos d’Estournel Les Pagodes de Cos 2009, Château Cantemerle Haut-Medoc 2008, Reserve de la Comtesse Laland, Pauillac 2010, Lynch-Bages Pauillac Grand Cru Classé 2018, Château d’Yquem 2013, Château Rauzan-Ségla Margaux Grand Cru Classé 2010 and Léoville Poyferré 2003. Fine Bordeaux wines available for purchase included Château Margaux 1995, Cantenac Brown 2015, Mouton 2005, Lafite 2010, Pichon Baron 2016, Les Forts de Latour 2010, Canon la Gaffelière 2016, Château Angelus 2010 and Château Figeac 2009. Rhode Island-based experts and certified sommeliers, Steffen Rasch, Sommelier and Wine Buyer, Persimmon and Ali Quero, CS, WSET 3, were in attendance to pour and discuss selections with guests. The limited availability wines were made available through Horizon Beverage Co. and négociant, Ballande & Méneret.
