The winners of the Best of Rhode Island Readers’ Poll, hosted by Rhode Island Monthly, were recognized at a celebration at Providence’s WaterFire Arts Center on July 25. The annual event, hosted by Mario Hilario, Anchor, NBC 10 News “Sunrise,” is a tribute to Rhode Island’s unique food and beverage venues and businesses, which are chosen by the public via its online reader survey. Guests enjoyed bites from the Ocean State’s best paired with beverage selections from Newport Vineyards, Newport Craft Brewing + Distilling Co., Gooseneck Vineyards, Patrón Tequila and Island Coquito while a performance by Roomful of Blues, Caribbean steel drums and a DJ set the backdrop for the evening. The event was sponsored by Audi Warwick; Massey and Associates, Inc.; the University of Rhode Island; Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses; Cox Business; Bank Newport; Delta Dental; and Newport Craft Brewing + Distilling Co.
