Eder Brothers Inc. hosted the Bobby Burns Bartenders Ball at New Haven’s Cask Republic on January 22. The event highlighted The Famous Grouse, The Famous Grouse Smoky Black and Cutty Sark blended Scotch whiskies and the Bobby Burns cocktail. Named after Scottish poet Robert Burns, the libation is popularly made from scotch, vermouth and Bénédictine liqueur. During the Scottish-themed event, guests enjoyed traditional foods including haggis and music from bagpipe player David Methven. Four bartenders competed in a cocktail competition where they showcased spirits in an original creation, and then presented a poem inspired by their concoction.
