Brockmans Gin, in collaboration with Worldwide Wines, hosted a “Ginstitute” bartender education at New Haven’s Oak Haven Table & Bar on April 4. Brockmans Gin Co-founder Bob Fowkes led the education session, which gave guests a background of the history of gin and the botanicals in its crafting, and spoke of its growing popularity in the marketplace today. Guests enjoyed tastes of Brockmans Gin along with craft cocktails prepared by Oak Haven Table & Bar General Manager Dan Shekman and food from the venue’s kitchen team. Brockmans’ Gin Market Manager Lauren O’Reilly led guests through a demonstration of “The Perfect Serve,” which bartenders can use to create an “ideal” gin and tonic using Brockmans Gin. Crafted in a 100-year-old copper pot still in England, Brockmans Gin combines the notes of traditional gin botanicals with flavors of citrus and wild berries. The brand recently expanded its U.S. distribution footprint from its New England states, New York and New Jersey, to include Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Colorado.
