Providence’s Tiny Bar hosted a bar takeover event featuring spirits from Bully Boy Distillers and food from Little Friend on Aug. 26. During the Tiny Island Stephen Crane Edition event, bartenders created tropical and tiki cocktails for guests featuring Bully Boy spirits. The event was inspired by Joseph Stephenson “Steve” Crane, an American actor and restaurateur who founded the Polynesian-themed Kon-Tiki restaurant chain, where some classic tiki cocktails were created. Featured cocktails were the Bolo, featuring Bully Boy The Rum Cooperative Vol. 2, fresh pineapple juice, fresh lime, passion fruit syrup, honey mix and Angostura bitters; the Rain Killer, a blend of Bully Boy Vodka, fresh lime, orange and pineapple juices, cane sugar and Angostura bitters; the Bourbon Special, Bully Boy Straight Bourbon Whiskey, fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, Velvet Falernum and Demerara syrup; and the Luau Scorpion Bowl, Bully Boy The Rum Cooperative Vol. 3, Bully Boy Estate Gin, fresh orange juice, lime juice, cane sugar and almond.
