Venues around the state took part in the annual Imbibe and Campari Negroni Week from June 4-10. Thousands of bars and restaurants participate in the global event each year, with a goal to raise money for local charities from related cocktail sale proceeds. Across the Ocean State, participating venues included Scales & Shells, The Statesmen Tavern, Pane E Vino, Massimo Ristorante, Avivo Ristorante and 84 Tavern on Canal.
- Scales & Shells highlighted its Negroni and Campari cocktail offerings the week of June 4-10, with its chosen charity the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
- The venue offered an interactive check sheet that guests were able to use to mix-and-match or try new options.
- Scales & Shells’ Amanda McDonough said, “We also bottled our own single serving Negronis in-house, which are made with Malfy Gin, Carpano Antica and Campari. We had a great turnout for it and the staff all really enjoyed taking part in it.”
- The venue offered a “build-your-own Negroni” option with a selection of nine gins, nine Amaros and seven sweet vermouths.
