
The Castle Hill Inn in Newport, in collaboration with Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island – Wine Marketing division, hosted a trade luncheon featuring The Mascot wines on June 6. The Mascot, a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon by Will Harlan of Harlan Estate, is made from grapes harvested from the younger vines of the Promontory, BOND and Harlan Estate vineyards. Special guests Sid Lakhkar, Fine Wine Specialist, Horizon Beverage Co., and Mollie Maisch, Director, The Mascot, presented the wines to guests, which included The Mascot Cabernet Sauvignon in 2014, 2017 and 2018 vintages, while guests enjoyed a multicourse meal prepared by Executive Chef Andy Taur. The Mascot wines are available in Rhode Island via Horizon Beverage Co. – Wine Marketing division.
