C&C Distributors, Inc. in Rhode Island was presented with the Diageo Golden Bar Award for Guinness Quality on October 29, 2013 at a dinner held at RiRa in Providence, known for its “perfect pints” of Guinness. For a distributor to win the Diageo Golden Bar for Guinness Quality, one of the most coveted awards, they need to achieve Quality Plan and achieve Guinness keg depletion number.
C&C’s Quality Plan was to achieve over 75 percent Great Looking Great Tasting Guinness (GLGTG) in RI. C&C delivered at 80.2 percent, which means that 80 percent of all Guinness pints served in the state are GLGTG–”perfect pints.” Additionally, C&C grew Guinness Kegs over the prior year and was one of the only Diageo distributors that over-delivered on Diageo’s keg plan depletion number.
“We’ve been working, striving towards a Diageo Golden Bar for over 10 years and finally now we have one – and it’s for the most important thing of all, Guinness Quality,” said Ken Mancini, owner of C&C Distributors, Inc. and Rhode Island Distributing. “With the entire C&C Distributors’ sales team in attendance, it truly was a special night.”
