
Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), hosted a whiskey lunch and learn session for trade guests at Jack’s Bar & Steakhouse in New Haven on November 12, 2019, the first in a series of three in the state. During a three-course lunch, guests sampled a paired flight of Scotch, rye and bourbon whiskies along with additional offerings to taste, including Scotches from Glen Moray, Jura, Compass Box and The Balvenie; ryes from WhistlePig, Basil Hayden’s, Knob Creek, Sagamore, Heaven’s Door and Widow Jane; and bourbons from Tuthilltown Spirits’ Hudson Whiskey line, Jim Beam, Heaven’s Door, Baker’s and Bib & Tucker. Special guest David Rudman, Executive Director, DipWSET, Executive Director, Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Americas, led the tasting and discussion.
