The ninth annual Chefs Collaborative Rhode Island Harvest BBQ was hosted along the pond at Schartner Farms in Exeter on October 6. In celebration of the local food and beverage community, as well as the autumn harvest season in New England, the event brought together local chefs, farmers, vintners, brewers and spirits makers. Local beverage brands included Revival Brewing Co., Foolproof Brewing Company, Greenvale Vineyards, Grey Sail Brewing, Narragansett Beer and Proclamation Ale Company with food from Persimmon, Gracie’s, Newport Vineyards, The East End and Sarto. All event proceeds benefited the Chefs Collaborative, a national nonprofit network with a mission to inspire, educate and celebrate chefs and food professionals building a better food system.
