
Mancini Beverage – Rhode Island Distributing (RID) division hosted a wine dinner featuring Cloudy Bay Vineyard wines at the Weekapaug Inn on May 9. Special guest, viticulturist and technical director at Cloudy Bay Vineyards Jim White was in attendance to discuss the New Zealand-grown wines throughout the pairing dinner. Weekapaug Inn Executive Chef Devin Bozkaya built the evening’s dinner courses around each varietal. Participants enjoyed Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Te Koko Sauvignon Blanc, Te Wahi Pinot Noir and Late Harvest Riesling paired with dinner. The New Zealand-based Cloudy Bay Vineyard is internationally known for its varietals, and is best known for its influence in the modern Sauvignon Blanc category.

- Cloudy Bay’s Te Koko Sauvignon Blanc 2015 has a complex, robust taste due to wild fermentation and aging in old French oak. Shown with the Frito Misto Course pairing of razor clams, baby shrimp, local squid, peppadew and roast garlic aioli.
