Cocktail and Education Session Features Cognac Brands

By December 28, 2024Connecticut, Top News

Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), hosted a Cognac education and cocktail class at Harrie’s Jailhouse in Middletown on Nov. 13. Led by Ruvin Bogati, Sales Representative, CDI, the event highlighted Salignac VS, Courvoisier VSOP and D’USSÉ XO cognacs in the basement bar of the venue, the historic 1850s Pameacha Jailhouse. Guests tasted the Cognacs and then enjoyed cocktails featuring showcased spirits mixed by Bogati and Bar Manager Henry Abbott, pairing beverages with bar snacks courtesy of Harrie’s Jailhouse. Recently acquired by Campari Group, Courvoisier is the youngest and most awarded of the “big four” historical Cognac houses. It received the title of Official Supplier to the House of the Emperor by Napoleon III, supplied the royal courts of Europe and was the drink of choice of the Belle Époque among historic accolades. D’USSÉ XO Cognac is crafted in the cellars of the historic Château de Cognac and offers a unique blend of carefully selected eaux-de-vie, aged 10 years or more offering notes of blackberry, apricot, dark chocolate and walnut. Salignac VS Cognac is made from Cognacs that are blended before they are aged, then spend years maturing in oaken casks resulting in an exceptionally smooth Cognac with flavors of vanilla and caramel with a hint of spice.
