The bar team at One Bellevue in Newport celebrated Women’s History Month with a cocktail-making class featuring spirits from Laird & Company on March 24. Lisa Laird, Chief Operating Officer and Global Ambassador, Laird & Company, hosted the tutorial, where guests were instructed how to create a cocktail featuring Laird’s Old Apple Brandy 7 ½, Strong Foundations, which is featured on One Bellevue’s spring cocktail menu. Known as one of America’s oldest distillers, Laird & Company was founded by the Laird family in the late 1600s and specializes in apple spirits, including Applejack and American Apple Brandy. Eighth generation descendants Larrie W. Laird and Lisa Laird now run the company, which is headquartered in Virginia.
