Broken Shed Vodka sponsored the annual Cocktail Wars Newport’s Summer Splash. The premium vodka, made from mountain spring water and New Zealand whey, was featured in the summer-long competition where each week bartenders created original cocktails for a panel of judges. Venues included Christie’s Newport, The Top of Newport The Hotel Viking, The Rooftop of The Vanderbilt Grace, The Mariner Art Gallery, The Marriott Skiff Bar and Newport Vineyards. Samantha Donahue from the Revolving Door was named the competition winner and runner up was Jonathon Edgell from Perro Salado. The summer event was created three years ago by Newport’s John Begin and the area bar community.
