Brown-Forman and Eder Bros., Inc., hosted a bartending and wing-eating competition at Bear’s Smokehouse at The Stack in New Haven on July 27. Using featured spirit Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, local bartenders were challenged to create their best Jack and Coke for judges Dan Rek, Elm City Social; Jamie Goldsmith, Brown-Forman; and Madeleine Rapp, Brand Ambassador, Jack Daniel’s. Catherine McAuliffe of The Stack was named Judges’ Choice winner and Corinne Ferrante of The Blind Pig won People’s Choice. In honor of National Wings Day, partygoers also competed in a six-minute wing-eating competition, with Mitch Silver emerging as the day’s wing-eating champion. Brown-Forman donated $1,750 in proceeds from the event to benefit the New Haven Hispanic Firefighters Association.
