
The annual Imbibe and Campari Negroni Week returned onsite to venues across the world, and Connecticut bar and restaurant teams offered both classic and new twists on the Negroni cocktail to celebrate from Sept. 13-19. More than 25 venues in Connecticut served up showcased cocktails throughout the week. Since 2013, Negroni Week has grown from about 120 participating venues to over 12,000 venues around the world, and to date, has collectively raised over $3 million for charitable causes. Bars and restaurants participated worldwide to raise money for their own selected charitable causes, and people followed along via social media through #NegroniWeek.

- A Negroni variation created by Dan Rek, Beverage Director, MECHA Noodle Bar in New Haven, featuring St. George Chili Vodka, Aperol, Lustau Vermut Rojo and Crème de Peche.
- The Diamond and Gold Negroni cocktail from newly-opened RHK Seafood Boil + Bar in South Norwalk featured 24 Karat Gold Infused Botanist Gin, dry vermouth, Cointreau, agave and an orange twist with a 24-karat gold rim and 24-karat gold ice diamond as a garnish, showcased by Chef/Owner/Mixologist Ockyheon Byeon.
- Conspiracy’s Zombie Negroni, a blend of three kinds of gin, Campari, Aperol, Amaro Tosolini, Amaro Meletti, sweet vermouth, citrus and tiki bitters, featured, “All the flavors of a zombie, but in Negroni form,” Conspiracy posted on social media.

- Guests at El Segundo in South Norwalk had their choice of a classic Negroni with gin, a Negrosky made with vodka, a Boulevardier with bourbon, a Mexican Negroni with mezcal, and a Negrose with a splash of sparkling rosé.
- The Shipwright’s Daughter in Mystic offered several takes on the classic Negroni. Its The Elliot Bea Good Negroni features Barr Hill Gin, Campari, Lillet Blanc, honey ginger syrup and candied ginger garnish.
