Waypoint Spirits hosted the Connecticut Restaurant Association (CRA) for a Spring Potluck and Cornhole Tournament on May 1. CRA member venues, including J. Timothy’s Tavern and Grant’s, provided food for the event. Allan S. Goodman provided wine and brand information while Thomas Hooker Brewery, Thimble Island Brewing Company, New England Brewing Company and Back East Brewing Company provided local brews. Waypoint Spirits hosted guided tours of the distillery, with samples of its spirits line available at the bar. Guests also took part in a friendly cornhole tournament, with the Joey Garlic’s team taking first place, Waypoint Spirits in second and Datapay Payroll in third. Proceeds from the event benefited the CRA-supported Connecticut ProStart® Program, a two-year management and culinary skills program for high school students to pursue hospitality education.
