By June 2, 2024Connecticut, Top News

Constellation Brands hosted an agave master class for trade guests at West Hartford’s Union Kitchen on April 29. Sponsored by Tequila Mi Campo and Casa Noble Tequila, the event featured an educational session and tasting led by Natali Villaruel, National Agave Ambassador, and Christen LaRochelle, FSM | ASPIRA – Fine Wine and Craft Spirits Division, New England, Constellation Brands. Guests tasted Dos Hombres Mezcal, Tequila Mi Campo Blanco, Tequila Mi Campo Reposado, Casa Noble Blanco Tequila, Casa Noble Reposado Tequila, Casa Noble Añejo Tequila and Marques de Casa Noble Añejo Tequila. The tequilas were also showcased in several event cocktails created by MeKayla Roy, Bar Manager, Union Kitchen. Casa Noble tequilas are made from mature agave piñas and its Reposado, Añejo and Marques de Casa Noble expressions are all aged in hand-selected new French oak barrels. Marques is a blend of 19 Añejo and Extra Añejo tequilas. Available in Blanco, Reposado and Añejo, Mi Campo tequila is crafted using high-quality agave and tequila production methods. Made from 100% blue Weber agave, the piñas are squeezed—not crushed—then cooked in stone ovens. Tequila Mi Campo Blanco is rested in white wine barrels and the Reposado is aged in red wine barrels. A second tasting was hosted at Ordinary in New Haven on April 30.
