Diageo has announced a key leadership change in its North America unit. Stephen Rust, previously President, Reserve and New Business Commercialization, will step into the role of President, U.S. Spirits, replacing Gregorio Gutierrez, who has held that role since 2022. Rust has been with Diageo and its preceding companies for more than three decades. He has served in a variety of roles within Diageo North America, including creating and leading the company’s present route to market strategy. Rust is a governing board member of Pronghorn, a business dedicated to cultivating the next generation of Black founders, executive leaders and entrepreneurs in the spirits industry.
