Dichello Distributors celebrated the retirement of longtime employee Richard Smith. Smith, more commonly known as “Smitty,” has worked for three generations of the Dichello’s family-owned distributorship. Serving as a delivery driver for 42-and-a-half years, Smith has delivered roughly between 6 and 7 million cases of beer across the company’s territory throughout his time. Dichello Distributors celebrated Smith’s milestone achievements with a party on Jan. 6 held at its Orange office, which included catered lunch, cake and a presentation of a retirement watch, among highlights. “They don’t make them like him anymore; I wish we had 100 of him,” said John Hall, President, Dichello Distributors.
