
Diageo and Brescome Barton celebrated Cinco de Mayo and the start of the summer season with a party on the veranda of La Plage Restaurant & Oyster Bar in Westport on May 9 featuring Don Julio Tequila. The two companies hosted several trade members from the top on- and off-premise tequila accounts across Connecticut, all of whom enjoyed an afternoon of cocktails, cuisine, lawn games and photo ops with the iconic Don Julio-branded 1942 vintage pickup truck. Specialty cocktails featuring Don Julio, including Agave Passion, a blend of Don Julio Reposado, lemon juice, passion fruit and jalapeno and the Coco Margarita, a mix of Don Julio Blanco, Coco Lopez and lime juice were crafted by La Plage bar team. Celebrants also enjoyed tastes of Don Julio 1942 Primavera Reposado Tequila chilled through a Don Julio ice luge.
