
Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island, in collaboration with Bacardi, hosted a tequila education event for trade guests at Hotel Viking on April 22. Held on Earth Day with a sustainability theme, guests celebrated the launch of Patrón’s El Cielo and El Alto tequilas. National Programming and Education Specialist Roberto Núñez was in attendance to share the craft behind Patrón’s tequilas, its environmentally friendly practices and information on its latest unique expressions. Christina Mercado, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, One Bellevue at Hotel Viking, and Steven Gonzalez, Head Bartender, Park Hyatt NYC and Patrón Perfectionist USA National Winner, made specialty craft cocktails featuring Patrón El Cielo, El Alto and Cristalino tequilas. Patrón El Cielo is the newest super-premium tequila in the line, quadruple-distilled to reveal naturally sweet agave flavors. Patrón El Alto is a prestige tequila handcrafted from the finest 100% blue Weber agave grown in the highest parts of Jalisco, Mexico.
