Craft Beer Guild Distributing of CT/Blueprint Spirits division hosted a cocktail competition featuring El Luchador Tequila at El Santo in West Hartford on Aug. 22. The competition featured 10 local bartenders who created their best cocktails for judges featuring El Luchador Tequila. Competitors wore masks while competing to pay homage to El Luchador Tequila, which celebrates the famed masked wrestlers of Mexico. The winner was Jenn Ruzbasan, with her cocktail Mystico, a blend of El Luchador Tequila, ginger liqueur, coconut water, lime juice, green tea, vanilla simple syrup and finished with a spritz of lemongrass hydrosol. Created by Tequilero David Ravandi, El Luchador Tequila is an artisanal line of tequilas available in Still Strength Blanco, Blanco, Reposado and Añejo expressions.
