New Haven’s Elm City Social rang in the holiday season with yuletide-themed events in December. During the Surf’s Up Santa promotion, guests enjoyed a variety of drink specials and events including a holiday brunch and pictures with Santa on Dec. 10 and the second annual SantaCon on Dec. 16, where guests received one free drink in exchange for a new, unopened toy for Toys for Tots while celebrating at Elm City Social, Via Gastrobar, Pacifico, Olives and Oil, The Anchor Spa and NOA. Sponsored by Bird Dog Whiskey, Lord Hobo Brewing Co., Fireball and Herradura Tequila, each venue donated a portion of ticket sales from the evening to the Toys for Tots organization. Elm City Social also donated 100% of its proceeds from drinks, meals and takeout orders on Dec. 14 to the Greater New Haven Cat Project. The holiday event series wrapped up with the venue’s New Year’s Eve celebration, A Night on Bourbon Street, featuring live music by the Jim Royal Jazz Trio. Guests enjoyed several New Orleans-inspired cocktails, including a Hurricane, Gin Fizz and Sazerac alongside the venue’s other beverage offerings and Cajun cuisine.
