Fernet-Branca hosted its coin release party at Ogie’s Trailer Park in Providence on Sept. 15 with the team from Horizon Beverage and the local trade community. During the industry night, guests enjoyed signature event cocktails featuring Fernet-Branca, patio games and branded merchandise. Food was provided by the Ogie’s Trailer Park kitchen team. Fernet-Branca, a style of amaro originating in Italy, was first formulated in Milan in 1845. It is one of the best known Italian bitters, with 27 herbs, roots and spices that make up its formula. A bartending tradition developed from military coin challenges, the Fernet coins are used to challenge the buying of a round and symbolize bartender community membership.
