Foolproof Brewing Company commemorated its 10th anniversary with a bottle reserve party at its headquarters on Grotto Avenue in Pawtucket on Dec. 10. Guests enjoyed a specially curated tap list for the evening, with limited-edition brews including Foolproof Brewing Company Barleywine X, its 10th-anniversary ale; Foolproof Takes Manhattan, a Manhattan cocktail-inspired imperial stout; Stupid Sexy Bottle Reserve, a Flanders red ale from its Pilot Series; an imperial oatmeal stout; and several additional small-batch brews to sample on draft, with some available for purchase in take-home bottles. The brewery officially opened in January 2012 under Nick Garrison and was purchased in May 2021, now led by a management team that includes Chief Operating Officer Rich Visco, who comes from the Connecticut and Rhode Island Brewery Collective, which brews several brands in both states. Foolproof is distributed in Rhode Island via Mission Beverage.
