
Foxwoods Resort Casino hosted a grand opening celebration for its latest venue, Wahlburgers, part of the restaurant chain co-owned and operated by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg and his brothers, Donnie and Mark. Opened on Aug. 29 in the casino’s Grand Pequot Concourse, the official grand opening was celebrated with a red carpet event on Sept. 14, which featured appearances by the Wahlberg brothers and was attended by local leaders and dignitaries, celebrities and trade guests. During the second part of the event, Mark Wahlberg celebrated the launch of his new tequila line, Flecha Azul Tequila, distributed in Connecticut through Slocum & Sons. Slocum & Sons’ team were also in attendance at the event, which started at the new Wahlburgers location and concluded with a tasting and cocktail demonstration by Mark Wahlberg at one of Foxwoods’ casino bars.
