George Dickel is releasing a 17-year-old variant based on the Tennessee whiskey’s signature mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley, as well as production in chill charcoal filtration and single-story warehouse aging. It all began last year when Distiller Allisa Henley was looking for 9-year-old barrels to continue the Hand Selected Barrel Program when she found a row of 17-year-old barrels. Distribution is national, but limited.
