The 2023 Newport Winter Festival continued its week of festivities with a cocktail competition featuring George Dickel Tennessee Whisky at The Red Parrot Restaurant on Feb. 23. Local bartenders created their best hot drinks for judges using George Dickel Tennessee Whisky to warm up the offerings. Each entry was judged on its presentation, taste and appeal with the winning beverage deemed the Best Hot Drink in Newport. Guests gathered to cheer on competitors and sample each cocktail, with competitors from The Red Parrot, La Forge Casino Restaurant, Gas Lamp Grille, Kaffeology and Wally’s Wiener’s among them throughout the night. The winner was Andreea Marin, Owner, Kaffeology with her Killer Bee cocktail. Crafted in one of Tennessee’s oldest distilleries, George Dickel Bourbon Whisky is distributed in Rhode Island via Mancini Beverage.
