Wine Wizards, in collaboration with wine importer Saperavi Brothers, hosted a seminar and tasting on Georgian wines at Wines & More in Cranston on Jan. 8. With fertile valleys and protective slopes, Georgia is one of the oldest wine-producing countries and home to grapevine cultivation and neolithic wine production for at least 8,000 years. Kosta Chernikov, Founder of Saperavi Brothers, was in attendance to present a selection to guests along with Christin Aarons, Sales Associate, Wine Wizards, and Krasi LaFore, CSW, Fine Wine Manager, Wines & More Cranston. During the seminar, guests learned about and tasted a variety of wines unique to the region, including Chelti Kisi Qvevri, Chelti Rkatsiteli Qvevri, Saperavi Heritage, Georgian Valleys Saperavi and Saperavi Qvevri. The wines are imported by Saperavi Brothers and distributed in Rhode Island by Wine Wizards.
