Greenwich Wine + Food (GWF), presented by Serendipity magazine, returned to Fairfield County after a three-year hiatus on Oct. 1-14. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the multiday, multi-venue event featured a gala and one-of-a-kind events. The GWF 10th Anniversary Celebrity Chef Gala, presented by Coterie on Oct. 7, honored legendary Chef Jacques Pépin. Guests enjoyed a VIP meet-and-greet reception with Pépin and other acclaimed chefs, along with an elegant, four-course seated dinner prepared by renowned local cuisiniers paired with fine wines while mingling among the personalities. Guests enjoyed additional GWF events such as a Whiskey & Food Pairing Dinner featuring Woodford Reserve Bourbon Whiskey at Gabriele’s of Westport on Oct. 3; the Prohibition Pairing, featuring spirits from SoNo 1420 American Craft Distillers on Oct. 6; and the Champagne and Chocolate Master Class at BE Chocolat in Fairfield on Oct. 6, featuring French Laurent-Perrier Champagnes paired with chocolate from BE Chocolat, among the offerings and more. Proceeds from the week benefited charitable organizations The Jacques Pépin Foundation and Wholesome Wave. The anniversary celebration will continue in March 2023 with The Big Easy, a fête featuring the flavors and music of New Orleans, at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.
