Teams and individuals from within the food and beverage trade came together for the Helen David Relief Fund on June 10. Sponsored by Campari and Twin River Casino, and locally hosted by the United States Bartenders’ Guild of Rhode Island (USBG RI), more than 30 bicyclists took part in the 26-mile charitable ride, which benefits industry peers battling breast cancer via the United States Bartenders’ Guild Charity Foundation. The Helen David Relief Fund ride initiative was founded by internationally renowned mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim in honor of his aunt, Helen David, who was a business owner in the bar industry and battled breast cancer during her lifetime. Bike rentals were available via Dash Bicycle Shop in Providence in collaboration with the Project Broken Wheel Foundation. The ride was followed by a reception at Twin River Casino in Tiverton.
