Discussions on botanicals, history and cocktail recipes highlighted a Hendrick’s Gin brand education session on December 9, 2015 at Barcelona in New Haven. Jim Ryan, National Brand Ambassador of Hendrick’s Gin, taught invited guests how to make two cocktails and one punch using the Hendrick’s spirit, while giving a presentation from a vintage film slide projector. Each table was equipped with a bottle of the gin, fresh squeezed lemon juice, sliced lemons, bitters, blueberries, cucumber spurs, simple syrups, cocktail glasses and mixing spoons. First, Ryan demonstrated how he makes his Hendrick’s Gin cocktails, and then turned the tables to industry guests to make their own. Brescome Barton and William Grant & Sons presented the event to United States Bartenders Guild Connecticut (USBG CT) chapter members and area professionals.
