Highclere Castle Gin hosted a pairing dinner at Fork & Fire in Farmington on July 8. The four-course dinner was prepared by the Fork & Fire kitchen team, each paired with a different craft cocktail featuring multiple award-winning Highclere Castle Gin. Highclere Castle Spirits Co-founder and CEO Adam von Gootkin hosted the event, giving guests the rich background story of Highclere Castle Gin while discussing each signature cocktail. Co-founded with the Eighth Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, George and Fiona Carnarvon, the current owners of Highclere Castle in Hampshire, England, Highclere Castle Gin is a super-premium London Dry Gin, which uses botanicals from the castle’s herb gardens. Its recipe uses juniper, orange peel, lime flower, lavender and Highclere’s estate-grown oats. The estate is best known as the setting for the now-iconic television series and film “Downton Abbey.”
