Narragansett Beer celebrated the 70th anniversary of fellow Rhode Island-based brand, Del’s Lemonade, with its Hi Neighbor! brew blend, Del’s Shandy. Narragansett Lager has been brewed throughout New England for more than 120 years. The first Del’s frozen lemonade stand opened in 1948 in Cranston using an old family recipe brought over from Italy by its founder Franco DeLucia. The two flavors are combined to create the top-rated shandy, a summertime staple release from the brewer, which offers “tart fruity flavors and a crisp, lager finish.”
