Announced in October, Jackson Family Wines achieved organic certification for all of its Napa Valley estate vineyard properties through the Certified California Organic Farmers program. Covering approximately 480 planted acres across 15 estate vineyards throughout Napa Valley, the certification marks a milestone in line with Jackson Family’s Rooted for Good: Roadmap to 2030 sustainability initiative. Its estate vineyards span from valley floor vineyards in Oakville and Rutherford to hillside and mountain estates in Mount Veeder, Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain and Diamond Mountain—primary sources for wines including Cardinale, Freemark Abbey, Lokoya, La Jota, Mt. Brave and Caladan. Jackson Family Wines’ Winemaker Christopher Carpenter and Vineyard Manager Rafael Jimenez, a 35-year veteran of organic farming, implemented a range of organic practices to achieve the certification.
