
An appearance by legendary Chef Jacques Pépin was a highlight at the Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival with a presentation and wine-pairing seminar on Sept. 22. During a sold-out Sunday session, the chef, author, television personality and philanthropist told anecdotes from his unique life in the industry while leading a tasting of French wines, accompanied by his daughter, Claudine, who serves as Co-founder and President of The Jacques Pépin Foundation, which supports free culinary and life skills training through community-based organizations. Guests were greeted with glasses of Taittinger Prestige Rosé Champagne to start and throughout the afternoon also tasted Domaine de la Courtade Les Terrasses White and Les Cardinaux Côte de Brouilly.
