J.B. Percival Co., a craft cocktail lounge in Fairfield, hosted a Champagne tasting celebration featuring Champagne Vollereaux on Dec. 31. Guests enjoyed tastes of Champagne Vollereaux Brut Reserve NV during the early evening event on their way to New Year’s Eve parties and dinner in downtown Fairfield. “Produced by [the] sixth-generation family-owned vineyard, Champagne Vollereaux matches perfectly with the offerings of J.B. Percival Co. which specializes in small vineyard wines, local spirits and expertly crafted cocktails,” said Co-owner Amy O’Shea. A light, fruity and effervescent Champagne, its Brut Reserve NV is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes with scents of white fruits and honey on the nose and flavors of apricot on the finish, with a 90-point rating by Wine Spectator in December 2020.
