
Sakonnet Point Club in Little Compton, in collaboration with Johnson Brothers of Rhode Island, showcased fine wines and cuisine during a themed paring dinner on Feb. 3. The club’s Italian Wine Dinner treated guests to a taste tour through Italy in five courses and education on the wines enjoyed. The night’s offerings included Ratti Barbera d’Asti paired with truffle sacchetti, Pieropan Calvarino Soave Classico paired with radicchio and frisée, Jermann Pinot Grigio Friuli paired with grilled bronzini, Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella paired with braised porchetta and Il Tramonto Limoncello paired with a ricotta torte. Guests were treated to a glass of J Vineyards California Cuvée made by Wine Enthusiast 2022 Winemaker of the Year Nicole Hitchcock. Founded in 1998 to revitalize an historic harbor property and to preserve its heritage, the Sakonnet Point Club’s mission is to provide members and guests access to the Sakonnet waters and activities socializing in a setting of harbor and ocean views.

- Jermann Pinot Grigio Friuli, 13% ABV, is a full and fruity but dry and velvety wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy.
