Litchfield Distillery Showcased at Hartford Cocktail Competition

Slocum & Sons hosted a cocktail competition featuring Litchfield Distillery spirits at The 196 Club in Hartford on July 15. Nine local bartenders competed in two rounds to create their best cocktails for judges featuring Litchfield Distillery Batchers’ Gin, Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Agave Spirits. Judges Joel Russell, Sales Representative, Slocum & Sons; Dustin Amore, Bar Manager, Little River Restoratives; and Douglas Maloney, Brand Ambassador, Litchfield Distillery, evaluated each cocktail, with three winners named as the evening closed: first place: Alexandra Leone, Crush Wine Bar; second place: Kyle Sundland, Union Kitchen; and third place: Zachary O’Brien, Max Fish. Litchfield Distillery is celebrating its 10th year crafting its Connecticut-made spirits. Using Connecticut-grown grains, its award-winning spirits include several bourbon whiskeys, flavored bourbons, rye whiskey, vodkas, gins and agave spirits. It also produces ready-to-drink cocktail cans, as well as bottled Manhattan and Old Fashioned cocktails.
